The Problem No One Wants to Admit

Every human has the same disease. We call it sin. It's not just the bad things you've done – it's the rebel inside you that wants to be your own god.

Chose what you wanted over what was right
Hurt someone and couldn't take it back

🤯 The Mind-Blowing Truth

God didn't send someone else to save you. He came Himself. The infinite Creator became a vulnerable baby. The One who holds galaxies in His hands had His hands nailed to wood. Why?

Because that's what PURE LOVE does.

Jesus experienced: Hunger when fasting • Exhaustion from ministry • Grief when His friend died • Betrayal by those He loved • Physical torture and crucifixion • The weight of the world's sin • Complete abandonment and spiritual darkness

💔 He was "a man of sorrows, acquainted with grief" (Isaiah 53:3)
Not because He had to be, but because He chose to be.
For you.

This Changes Everything

When you cry, He understands — He wept. When you're betrayed, He knows the sting — Judas betrayed Him with a kiss. When you feel alone, He's been there — "My God, why have you forsaken me?" When you face death, He conquered it.

You're not coming to a distant God who can't relate. You're coming to One who became like you so you could become like Him.

The Rescue Mission That Changed Everything

Knowing who God really is, His rescue mission makes perfect sense:

Jesus didn't come to make bad people good. He came to give spiritually empty people new life and purpose.

Think about it: The Creator of galaxies became a baby. The One who spoke stars into existence got hungry, tired, and thirsty. Why?

✨ Because He'd rather die than spend eternity without you. ✨

Jesus lived the perfect life you couldn't live. Then He took your death sentence. Three days later, He walked out of His grave, proving He conquered both sin and death.

But Here's Where Most People Stop...

Knowing this information won't save you. Even demons believe God exists (James 2:19). Jesus isn't looking for fans – He's calling for complete surrender.

If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.

MATTHEW 16:24-25

📝 Note: Jesus is using metaphor here — "losing your life" means giving up control of how you live, not physical harm. It's about surrender and trust, not self-harm.

Count the Cost

Following Jesus means bringing your relationships, habits, and plans under his leadership. He changes what we love, and he walks with us as we learn to obey.

💔 What You Leave Behind:

Your old way of living for yourself
Sins you think no one knows about
Your backup plans if God doesn't come through
The approval of those who reject God
Comfortable compromise with the world

✨ Your New Life Includes:

Unshakeable identity as God's child
Freedom from guilt and shame
Purpose that outlasts your life
Peace that doesn't depend on circumstances
Eternal life that starts right now

💭 Be Honest With Yourself

Following Jesus will change everything. You may lose some friends. Family might not understand. You'll need to surrender habits and relationships that don't honor God. Jesus said, "No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God" (Luke 9:62).

This is the path of true discipleship. If you're not ready for that level of commitment, it's better to be honest about it.

Where Do You Stand?

If you want Jesus but you're still learning, you can still call on him now. Salvation is the start of a new life of learning.

🙏 The Prayer That Changes Everything

This isn't magic words. This is you surrendering to the King. If you are unsure about a phrase, tell God that honestly. He hears the heart.

God, I've been running from You my whole life. I've been my own god and it's destroying me spiritually. I admit I'm a sinner who deserves judgment.

I believe Jesus is Your Son. I believe He died to pay for my sins. I believe He rose from the dead and is alive right now.

Jesus, I'm done fighting You. I surrender my life to You. Forgive me for everything. I turn from my sins – all of them. I turn to You.

Be the Lord of my life. I give You everything – my past, my present, my future. Change me from the inside out. I receive Your forgiveness and Your Spirit.

My old way of living is over. I belong to You now, no matter what it costs.

In Jesus' name, Amen.

💧 Why Get Baptized?

• It's a picture of death to your old life and resurrection to new life (Romans 6:3-4)
• The early church baptized new believers immediately (Acts 8:36-38)

Baptism doesn't save you – Jesus already did that. But it's your first act of obedience as His follower.
